Since 2007, Jerry "STEL72" Khiev has been an independent freelance graphic designer serving clients from around the world.
His clientele includes businesses and organizations with both minimal and massive budget for brand development, mainly focusing on rebranding, corporate identities and website development. He's inspired
by each design project he has completed since going into business for himself (since 2011). From logo designs to posters, brochures to websites,
he enjoys the creative challenges, working directly with clients, and pushing himself to produce high-quality work that fit today's market need while increasing sales and engagement.
Around 2012, he ventured into photography and started training his eyes in balance, composition and structure. He has taken look-books,
products and lifestyle photographs for clients in the medical, sneaker, watch, food and transportation industries. He now travels yearly creating and linking up with
those who share his passion for meaningful visuals. He also works with @way2ill_ and @portraitpage, both a photography community
on Instagram that features gifted photographers from around the world ranging in street photography, portrait and mix media. Portrait Page and Way2ill has over 200,000
followers and continues to grow daily. When Jerry isn't out shooting photos, he either designing for clients, traveling or digging for records.

The Work of STEL72
Connect & Execute
I always ensure a client brief has been filled out or a meeting is held with the client before I commence any work. It is so easy to get carried away and see the project from one particular angle, but it’s always worth checking that this is not only the correct angle but also that it is in line with the clients objectives before proceeding to create anything.
Research is very important. Who are the target market? Who are the competitors? What is the industry like as a whole? The research and development is extraordinarily time consuming but extremely beneficial, there would be nothing worse than designing a new logo for a company only to discover it’s too similar to a competitor or creating a campaign and finding out at the last moment that the style doesn’t suit the market.
What are the messages that are to be omitted? Are you telling people that this product is cheap? Is it exclusive? Does it have excellent service? How does it connect with consumers? Can they relate to it? These are the messages that should be received by the viewer and the design should express/connect with them.

“There are two things I said about Jerry when I recommended him to a close friend: 1) he is an amazing designer - you will love his work and 2) from a business standpoint, you couldn't find a better designer to work with. In terms of his design work, he hit the nail on the head and was able to translate our conceptual idea into the exact look and feel we were hoping for in creating our brand. But just as important, Jerry is a consummate professional. He is super responsive, flexible, always delivered as and when promised to and was overall just pleasant and easy to work with. I trusted recommending him to my friend completely and, based on her positive experience, can continue to do so.”
“I initially worked with Jerry on a marketing campaign where he handled the creative artwork, photography, and website design. He went above and beyond on the project doing any and all tasks asked of him. He had such exceptional work ethic, dedication to the project and above all skill, that since the project ended I've reached out to him to handle small projects for myself. I couldn't recommend anyone higher!”
“Jerry has been and continues to be absolutely wonderful to work with! We have worked with him on a number of projects over the last few years and he goes above and beyond with each one. He is friendly yet professional, has a great eye, and is able to produce quality work even when we give him tight deadlines! ”
